PLANEGEA OPEN LICENSE ANNOUNCEMENTS

We're excited to announce that we’ve released Planegea’s trademark and product identity under the Open Game License. This means that you, our fan community, have the freedom to create and share your own Planegea RPGcontent with the world!

I've created this thread as a place for you to post your own Open License announcements. Let us know about any Open License material you've created as it becomes available, whether it's new spells, magic items, adventures, or anything else related to Planegea.

You're welcome to post a link to your material, but please put conversations into another thread. Also note that Atlas Games doesn’t endorse any of the material announced here.

We’re all looking forward to seeing the amazing directions you'll take Planegea!

IMPORTANT NOTE: START A SEPARATE CONVERSATION THREAD FOR YOUR NEW RELEASE BEFORE YOU POST HERE, AND INCLUDE THAT LINK AT THE END OF YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT.

To kick off this thread, I'll start with Atlas Games' announcement of the release of Planegea’s trademarks and product identity under the Open Game License.

Atlas Games®, the publishers of the popular Planegea prehistoric RPG setting, announced today the release of previous Product Identity, proper names, and the trademarks "Planegea" and "The Star Shaman's Song of Planegea" as Open Content under its original Open Game License Version 1.0a.

This open license release will allow players to freely share, adapt, and build content that's explicitly based in the Planegea setting, and sell their creations.

"Changing this designation is a small thing, but it vastly simplifies the use of the Planegea setting in derivative works," comments publisher John Nephew. "Plus, the trademark permissions and new Planegea Open License logo make it easy for creators to notify their audience of compatibility."

"Planegea has an incredibly vibrant fan community, after all," publisher Michelle Nephew notes. "But trademark 'sandboxing' limits what they can release publicly. By really embracing the open license for third-party creators, we're empowering them like never before. We can't wait to see the new directions they go, that we haven't had the resources to explore."

Rats in the Walls by Planegea Story Team member Adam Beckwith is the early release that got us started thinking about Planegea Open License. The adventure is for 9th-level characters, who must gain entrance to the Apogee Palace on the night of the Air Empress’ annual coronation celebration, traveling through a myriad of glamorous chambers. They'll confront security measures, decoys, and drunken revelers standing in their way, then steal one of the most prized possessions of the Air Empire: The Orb of Navigation.

Venom Attack! was the first release under the Planegea Open License. It's a 1st level introductory adventure for the planned eight-part Nightmare Venom campaign by Simon Collins. The PCs encounter an envenomed spider-raptor sent by the Spiderfolk Queen to attack Edgegather, while a minion of a green hag tries to collect a sample of the venom.

Mystery of the Nightmare Venom is the second part of the Nightmare Venom campaign by Simon Collins, for four to five 2nd-level characters. This time, the PCs begin to investigate this strange magical poison at the behest of the Venom Guard.

Remembrance of the Spear-Tree Clan is a guide to the clan that's defined by their worship of the god Culgha and a long legacy of sacrifice. Learn about their culture, notable figures, and the divine history of the Martyr Tree, in this release by Ezerbe's Web.

Extravagant Sehlkwen’s Rumours of Treasure is a compendium of 28 new magic items, all Planegea-compatible and connected to a setting or faction, along with a new spell. Released by Christian E R Hendricks.

Got my supplement finished! It's 12 new sublcasses as well as invocations and spells to make them come to life!
