This is the current version of Catrina.

Also, it was purely coincidental that I made her from Scotland. I wanted to pick somewhere that the connection with Faerie was strong and I didn't want to do the obvious and go with Hibernia.

Also, the age crept up as I wanted her to have Glamour and it didn't seem right for her to get a major initiation without waiting a little time. Besides, with that strong faerie blood, she doesn't really get going until she's in her 60s!

BTW, I'll clean this up and format it. But there's only so much I can do at once.

Catrina was born to a reasonably well-to-do family, and it was always known she was different. From the moment she was born, her eyes were brightly colored, and would change hue over time, running through the whole rainbow and back again. However, her family lived in Scotland, where the faerie were still not uncommon, and it was just accepted that she had “a touch of the faerie” about her.

In fact, she had a bit more than a touch. Catrina was born from an encounter that her mother had with a faerie lord, in the mortal word from Arcadia for a night. This strong faerie tie gave Catrina her odd eyes, and was likely at least part of the reason she developed the Gift. This latter fact was discovered by a Merinita magus from the nearby covenant of Crun Clach, who convinced Catrina’s parents that the girl would be better off raised to be shown how to use her abilities.

So it was that at the age of 10, Catrina found her way to Crun Clach Covenant, where she began her apprenticeship.

FIRST DECADE: Catrina is still a studious maga, with only a general idea that she has ‘some faerie blood.’ She has no idea how strong it is, or what her true parentage is. However, over this time, she studies some more Faerie Lore and begins to develop her Second Sight, and starts to wonder about the truth of things. The Decade ends when she finds a path into Arcadia and has her first adventure there. She meets her father (though she doesn’t know the relation yet), a faerie lord called the Prince of Flowers, who holds sovereignty over all flowers in Arcadia, and from him learns that she had a much stronger tie to Arcadia than she thought she did.

THIRD DECADE: An apprentice and a familiar keep Catrina occupied for most of this decade, leaving her little time to question her past. But as soon as her apprentice is gauntleted, she feels drawn to another visit to Arcadia. There she learns the truth of her parentage, and is introduced to a mystagogue by the Prince of Flowers. The mystery cult has been watching her for years and thinks she is finally ready to be initiated. Overwhelmed, Catrina finally agrees to the reality of her past and agrees to the initiation.

FOURTH DECADE: Upon returning from Arcadia and initiating into the Mystery of Illusion, Catrina knows that she can’t go back to her old life. She goes wandering from her covenant in Scotland and heads south into England, staying at a variety of covenants along the way. Eventually she discovered that the Libellus Covenant was located near a circle of stones that was a surprisingly direct route to Arcadia. She petitioned for membership in the covenant and was quickly accepted. She spent much of the latter part of this decade settling into her new covenant.

A simple cloth doublet becomes the equivalent of armor with no Load and a +3 Soak bonus. Armor made of quilted material or any kind of leather improves its Protection by an additional +3. The magic does not make the armor better at absorbing shock, so this +3 bonus is the limit that can be bestowed without changing the material into something completely different. At the storyguide’s option, the bonus given by this spell may not apply against strictly blunt weapons like clubs and staves.

Okay, I've tried something a bit out there for Catrina's familiar - a butterfly. However, in order to keep it from being way out there on the characteristic scale (-20 Str and +15 Qui), I made it "gigantic." Of course, that only means that instead of Size -15 (insect), it's Size 10 (mouse). So it's still pretty small, all things considered. It's just really big for a butterfly.

I made the magic butterfly up as a Summer Magical creature with a Magical Might of 10. Please let me know if any of my assumptions are wrong. And if you don't like the idea of a large butterfly familiar, I can always go back to the drawing board with my other idea - a fairy wren.

A botch means you appear in the wrong place, perhaps even in a wall. This spell was designed for Catrina, so it does not cause her warping.

This stone, when pressed against a portion of a stone structure and a magical phrase spoken, will affix itself to the stone and make the structure look and feel from the outside like whatever the user wishes. If the stone is grasped and the magical phrase spoken again, the illusion can be changed. This change can be done at most once per hour. If the stone is grasped and a different magical phrase is spoken, the illusion will end and the stone will come free.

NOTE: Although Catrina regularly changes the image of her tower, she occasionally leaves it in it’s proper image to avoid warping.

(The heating temperature is slightly higher than the cooling temperature.) If the stone is grasped and a second magical phrase is spoken, it will heat the tower; and if the stone is grasped and a third magical phrase is spoken, it will cool the tower. If the stone is grasped and a fourth magical phrase is spoken, the stone will come free.

These are the things that pop out at me...

For Phantasmal Troupe, is that a canonical effect from somewhere? I know it has +1 for intricacy, but that applies to a single sound, and a troupe of musicians is more than a single sound. It probably needs to be T:Group allowing for up to 10 distinct and intricate sounds, adds two magnitudes to the effect.

Legs of Helen should be T:Part, not T: Ind, which adds +1 magnitude.

Ring of the Raven, Seven-League Stride Boots,
Should be R: Touch, as it's not the ring/boot changing but the person touching it. I'm assuming both were designed for Catrina. For the ring, it could have been designed for Catrina, and its use can be limited to Catrina, but I don't see any way of it knowing who Catrina's apprentices are, so that's not a valid user of the device, I don't think. I'm blanking on where Users of devices are discussed, at the moment, too, so I can't confirm my understanding.
