The crab replies "leader? Why would we have a leader? There is sand that way for nests." He points to the underwater cave "and food is plentifull. More light would be nice, but nothing hunts us here."
Out beyond the cave Fredrick barely makes it 10 feet before he is unable to see the cave anymore, with little idea where he is in terms of the rest of Malta.
Frederic will try another Idea. He will heat up a stone and place it directly over the entrance.
His plan is to come back at night and find the warm stone by use of visions of heats light. If needed he will use “rock of viscid clay” to fix the stone.

After the warm stone is placed he swims back to Garcin.
"I wonder what's keeping them," Vulpus says from above. "I hope they haven't been eaten by crabs."
Tayma replies to the fox, still thinking the ones to go down were fools "I suspect toxic odors. The corpses are eaten, but only partially. Scavengers. With no other sign of death... Finally Frederic makes it back to Garcin and Nicolae. While setting up his armor and shield he informs the two about his finding.

I'm going to change Vulpus's color since otherwise it's exactly the same as Frederic's
"I don't know why you would need a leader, but there is no shame in asking. Maybe there crabs worth following somewhere, in any case, I sa luminescent fungus in a case not too far, I might try to bring some down here, see if it takes hold on the wall. Was the sun visible the time Frederic was outside? Does he have an idea what time it is?

When Flavius was outside the sun was within an hour of setting, so by now it will have set.
The sun stone goes dark, the burning knife gets dark, out of the darkness you hear Frederic speaking some magic words and the sun stone spends light again.

Seems like a good idea. I think you've cheated fate enough today.
Just to make sure I'm doing this right, I subtract Vulpus's Might of 8 from the 8 xp giving him 0 (unless he spends vis). But this adventure was short enough that I could have him do something else for the season. Is that correct?
Yes, though the adventure experience would not count in accumulation with something else (unless it was another adventure), so if he reads a quality 12 book he still only gains 4xp (before vis).
Not many books left to read. I think I'll have him write a tractatus.
