Well...
Basically, initiations use Organizations Lores... But not every Organization Lore has the mystical knowledge you'd need.
For example, the knowledge of the Order of the Really Ancient Magical Secrets may contain the knowledge about how to initiate Affinity with Vim, but the knowledge of your local shoemaker's guild has nothing mystical at all.
Richard Love explains this better than I could here:

Mind you, even among authors, I believe there are divisions about MC, in that some (like, IIRC, Timothy Ferguson) wanted them to be more mystical and "special", whereas others are more on the side of "Any MC can initiate any virtue" (which gave us the Children of Hermes).
I couldn't see Donna change her mundane Organisation Lore into a mystical one, since it has nothing mystical to begin with. It can't help her in any way, since it only consist in, say, knowledge that your fellow guildmate Robert here is married with children, and that the guild hangs out every 2 weeks. It's like saying "How can knowledge of my workplace can give me insights into religion", if you want.
Since she is trying to do something new, that didn't exist before, she's essentially devising her own cult, not unlike what Fortunata did in Legends of Hermes. She can later try to pass that on her guild, trying to have her lore become the new lore. But her guildmates would have to begin from 0 too.
