Table Talk: OOC

I mean, I am in. But I suspect you knew that :relaxed:

sorry, parallel adventure, not game.

@Whaler what are we doing now?

We still need to finish the covenant. Do we want to use simple build points or something a bit more advanced?

In this I will defer to more experienced people. I have heard there are pitfalls to build points, but I don't know them

dimply using build points can lead to bizarrely inappropriate builds, since the build point model does not take location and setting into account. On the other hand using it as an index to define a limit on what we have would make sense.

Some build points aren't of use to us, since we're not likely to have permanent Vis sources, definitely not at the beginning, and we'll likely not have many specialists. So that leaves mostly the library...

I would see specialists as more likely than books, and we won't have vis sources but we could have vis.

after all we had already discussed and decided that one of the main motivators of the covenant was earning books, which is pretty much a DOA game if we already have them.

If we are building churches we have crazy levels of specialists, and it would be easy to add some educated ones, too

An issue was raised recently elsewhere on the board that will be of significance to this game- there are apparently conflicting rules for maintaining agents (whether the bond increases as an art or an ability). The question also arises regarding beginning agents- should I go ahead and choose 12 agency points worth of agents for Elymas?

I suspect art was intended

So, are we good to go, or is there a next step?

Well th second part of my post was also of significance- does the troupe feel I should choose 12 agency points worth of agents? I don't have any virtues or flaws from which this would follow, but it does seem to fit the backstory at minimum.

I suppose its not too much of a problem if you dont have a virtue/flaw for them. We can say they come from the covenant boon just that its your network.

Any more I can do?

Are we dead as a game here?

It looks like we might be- I think if we want to resolve it the first question is who is going to be the first storyguide.

Does look like things have kinda stalled out.

I am sad. I was super enthused for this one!
