[Table Talk] Return of Table Talk

Have a great time!

Hey folks!

I'm back and I'd like to post again, but I can see that there is a lot that I have missed. I'm OK with Stephan being ignorant of developments (he was off teaching and other things) but I wanted to get timeframe right.

How much time has passed since the beginning of the saga?

Best,

-Kurt

Happy to have you back!

Were in the Autumn season of 1220 and we started in the spring, so 3 seasons. Labs have been built and some are still in transition, I think. "Dawn", the creature who attacked the covenant in the spring was never apprehended. Azaelle is doing something weird. Fabrica and Mathius are doing some secretive clandestine Verditius thing and Corvus hasn't been heard from in a while. Daggin is also nowhere to be seen. He may be lying on the floor of his lab again, for all we know. Steve is on vacation (as you probably read a few posts down) so hopefully stuff will start happening when he gets back.

Okeedokee. Thanks.

If no one has specific objections, we'll say that he left shortly after things began by saying that he has some outside obligations to fulfill (teaching and investigating rumors of a really excellent book) and left you all to hash out who gets what lab. He'll work with the covenfolk to create his own lab over the next couple seasons.

-K!

Welcome back!

I thought It was assumed thatyour character had chosen the lab of the Jerbiton, the nice comfortable townhouse with the extensive map room and gardens out front...?

We have had encounters with a "Dusk" and "Dawn", maybe the next encounter should be with an "Undrentide"? (aka Noon)?

Hey... What are you going to do with those pitchforks and those torches...?

Steve
(Live - kind of - from Canada!)

Well, if that has been set aside, then great. Stephan will be pleased with the generosity (even if it really is just "leftovers").

As for torches and pitchforks ... um, I think I have more reading to do to get caught back up on the stories.

Check personal e-mail in a bit.

-K!

I see that my attempts at humor fall as flat as a magus in free fall with no rego corpus to stop his impact. The pitchforks and torches were for you, my players, and the implied mob rampage was to be directed at me for such a shameless pun or suggestion...

I'll go hang my head in shame now...

Steve

...And, I'm back... just in time for the late spring flooding. (I'm not kidding - we're supposed to get 2" of rain tonight).

I'll be sorting through stuff this weekend...

Steve

I'm back too! YAY! Bring on the faeries and demons and suspicious characters!

Hmm...

The seasons turn
Fall to Winter
Your storyguide forgot something...

Nah, not really. But I couldn't resist the pseudo-haiku.

Azaelle gets exposure xp in MT for investigating what really is an initiation script. However, it appears to be heavy math stuff, which Azaelle finds slightly incomprehensible (ie, your Artes Liberales isn't high enough).

Fabrica's three books are all pretty standard effects; One hurls a target 10 paces away from the caster; Another 'sucks' a fatigue level from a target, and the last shatters armor.

Albertus' 3 tractati are all Quality 6 MT tractati, and ones he hasn't read before. The subject of Albertus' future researches spends most of her time asleep near a warm fireplace, when she's not doing chores or hunting...

Mathius' package includes another portion of payments for his contracted devices. (which should bring him up to 2/3rds), and some correspondence.

At the end of the season, Fabrica hands over a black sword, opened for enchantment, and recieves a potion, an unnaturally bright green, evervescent, cloyingly sweet concoction for his work. After he drinks it, he does a fair impersonation of Mab after she's had a bowl of oatmeal with far too much honey in it for the next 2 days...

Stephan returns from a season of teaching and a season of visiting other scholars in the area, with tales to tell and rumors to spread...

Rhiannon gets her lab into shape, and immediately begins searching around for strange ingredients.

Daggin's inquiries have yielded only one person interested... "Father Padraigh says I've got nothing better to do this season," says Sister Priere," And yes, I can read and write greek, and translate it to latin, norman, burgundian, english, erse, and hebrew, if needed. So where's this manuscript?"

And... For those of you who need to make them... I'll need....
(Cue ominous Music)
AGING ROLLS!

And soon, Winter : 1221 shall begin...!

Steve

Thankfully Albertus is to young to age, he is only turning 32, and has finally a laboratory . But are those text deteriorating in quality a few posts ago they where quality 7...

My bad, I should re-read previous posts.

As a side note, your storyguide is currently bailing out his basement after recieving 6" of rain in as many hours. I woke up to 1cm/.40 in of water in my bathroom...

I need to get into town for a few supplies...(like a pump, some hydraulic cement, etc...)

Steve

 You sound like me at work every day. I'm an animation director.

Sorry to hear about the water related difficulty, Steve. I hope all your stuff is okay.

I lost 2 bookshelves, 2 books, and 1 piece of artwork (at least, the matting on it). The rest of my stuff sits well up off the floor, with the exception of 3 cases of VHS tapes that will need to move anon...

Sad part is, we're expecting more rain over the next 2 days...

Anyone need a monsoon?

Steve

Ok, damage control duty is done, We've come out fairly well, all things considered. I'm hoping to start winter 1220 in the morning.

Kurt, have you gotten any of the e-mails I've sent you of late? I've sent a number of them your way, but have gotten no reply...

Steve

I did get one talking about what happened to him on the road and I'm putting a post together to talk about the experience (or not, in some instances) but I only received the one e-mail.

-K!

I'll gather them up and send them via the PM system. I think I'm going to have to start sending e-mail via another account, since too many of the big providers appear to be blocking worldnet.att.net...

Max has a problem with it, and now it appears that You've a problem with it as well...

Steve

I've not received anything from you in a while either - don't know if you sent anything...
