Andros approves of this expenditure, he is still quite oblivious to the fact that he is fertile despite his LR due to the 1112 botched Stamina ritual. He plans to include Simian Rex in the process. "Perhaps in the future, you and I can bargain for this enhancement for any apprentice I may take." he speaks at Gloriana. I shall give it a most serious consideration, sodales.
Danaë is of course very interested, although she would like to avoid the Warping. You never know how it could manifest! It might be interesting, or very dreary and dull. Mind your words and gestures in these, I do not seek pregnancy! she gives Evandrus an impish side glance "If you are capable of these magics and willing to bargain, I am sure that the Mercere would like to speak with you, and I could help guide you so that all come to a beneficial agreement."

Regarding PATRICE and Oliverius suggestion to be her patron:
Hmmm, as an amateur musician, Aurthor is not sure how to sponsor a singer of Patrice talent. He surely can bring her in some of his adventures and invites other magi to do the same. With such an unnaturally beautiful voice, on social occasions, the fame of the covenant as a patron of the arts would certainly increase.
OCC: the mentor reward comes in handy here.
Regarding GLORIANA RITUAL:
Aurthor enthusiastically approves the vis expenditure. He would benefit from the ritual together with Ibis on his shoulder, hoping for a penetration high enough to overcome the familiar magic might.
OOC Question: beings with Might cannot voluntarily lower their MR to be affected by powers/spells successfully? Gloriana has only a +65 to cast this 60th level spell, and the aura +6 has no net effect (+6 to cast, but +6 to resistance for such beings). If so, she could only overcome the MR of the normal familiars with a good roll, and SRex only if exploding 1s appear multiple times. Her own Familiar has no problems (as Magi do not need to penetrate their own Familiars Resistance).
on p. 85 it states that MR must be overcome even if the maga is casting on themselves, which implies that the only reason parma can be lowered is because it is a non-vis consuming ritual which can be taken down and put back up. This is not true of magical beings, so yes, you must overcome their magic resistance.
Very well! So +2 from exaggerated Voice and gestures, possible Confidence point/Ritual, + roll, so good chance of affecting most everybody, including 10-12 Might Familiars, Simian Rex only by some miracle of 1s begetting 1s and so on.
Would it be possible to get penetration bonuses from arcane connections as part of the ritual? Perhaps -
Nevermind. I see Gloriana has no Penetration ability. Plan aborted.
Yep, anyway, Arcane connections to other Magi's Familiars, doesn't seem likely, as a plan. She could do the Ritual in her Lab, for a +5 from Props, but that's also too risky for a Magus, even one as eager to strut her stuff as Gloriana

Obviously Mercurio would be quite pleased to be included, but I can't really say he'd specially request it - that'd more be for his father to drag him him

Aurthor explains to his son the pros ("You'll be smarter!") and the cons ("You know, warping, especially for ungifted people, can really suck in the long run. Not to mention that there is a small chance that something goes wrong with the ritual etc..."). But the final decision rests with Mercurio, he is 16 already and must start making his own decisions.
Ignes.Festivus the only way out for me is the invention of a PeVi spell that cancels the magic resistence of the target. Like "Revoke the Protection of (Realm)" in Contested Isle pg. 62. A Sun version with a final level of 25 should do the trick. Maybe it's beyond Andros possibilities though, the spell must penetrate and a high casting score is needed to overcome Siam Rex MR.
Might be feasible in the long run, but Andros himself can get through Simian Rex's MR without a problem, it's his familiar after all. And he can't Spont such a spell, he's got Weak Spontaneous Magic.
The problem is MR 50 for Gloriana and this spell for 1129; she currently has 0 Penetration skill, and anyway, there's no way that asking for Arcane connections and gathering Sympathetic ones to a Magus's Familiar (even for beneficial effects) can end well! In the future, she might be able to penetrate, since she sees this as a shameful failure on her part.

Well, it takes 1 Season - up to 10 days to invent, so Winter 1129, very end. Not sure if Evandrus enters Twilight at that very moment. Hope not, as our Aegis depends on him, 1130 might be a problem, though!

So both successes, those who control characters with MR >10 <17 for first roll and <14 second roll should alert me so that Gloriana spends the Confidence.
If there was room the weavers would have asked for Giovanna to be included... as I recall there is a limit of 21 people to a standard size circle...
