The exit is only visible through InVi or second sight.
Other exits? Loose items?
Exploring the cave there are images which flit in and out of your vision as you walk around. Ronan refers to them as spirits. The room is roughly spherical, with what looks like a face engraved in one wall in reverse, so that it seems to follow you as you walk around the room, though the face is also 10 foot tall. There is an exit to the chamber down through the floor about a third of the way into the chamber on the side opposite the face, though what appears to be a chimney (in spelunking terms).
One more for you @silveroak. Will Ronan need help with the cold, or does he have his own tricks?
Ronan attempts a spontaneous CrIg to stay warm. It botches, badly, and he explodes in a ball of flames.
NPC eliminated.
and there is a source of warmth...
Arnar jiumps as Ronan catches figher. «What was that?» He looks around, but sees nothing, and resigns to watching his sodalis with horror.
Sionnach approaches with care as the explosion passes and the fire starts consuming the corpse. "May he rest in peace," he says solemnly as he sits at a comfortable distance from the fire. "If we're going to test out an arcane connection, how about we use this?" he says as he starts ripping a piece from his sleeve. "I'll be here examining that thing while you test it out," he says pointing to the weird 10 foot tall face.
«I'd rather not use an arcane connection to you,» says Arnar. «I can only really do something useful with Auram, and that can become rather violent.»
Bran crosses himself then, through chattering teeth says, "Dammit! He was our best chance at finding another exit from this place. We need to find another exit." Bran begins casting but using poetry instead of standard words for hermetic magic, though his gestures seem normal for hermetic magic.
[Bran rolled a 10+9 for casting Poem of Lamp Without Flame (Performance duration Lamp Without Flame)]
The rock lights up and Bran continues reciting poetry as he examines the walls more closely, especially the face.
«I'll have a look at the exit,» says Arnar and picks up a lose rock or anything which can serve as an arcane connection to the cavern. He then changes into his eagle form and flies to the ceiling where he thinks they entered. Is there anything to be seen? Are there any footholds near the ceiling?
He will try spontaneous InVi to see if he can sense the regio boundary, using the best sense he can muster, which is touch at level 7. sigh Is he able, at all, to touch the ceiling while flying?
He can touch the ceiling while flying but it will require a roll to avoid an accident.
He makes an attempt, but playing safe. If he can't do it, it is ok. Primarily, he tries to see if he can push through the ceiling, in the same way as they jumped through it from above. (Rolled 11 (Dex 1, Athletics [flying] 3 + roll 6))
He manages to find the regio boundary and enter the mundane world.
Standing on top of the entrance with the Arcane Connection that he brought, the eagle realises that he has thought this through. To be on the safe side, he flies up on the nearest rock, overlooking the entrance before he casts the spell.

Maybe I can do Creo Imaginem. He focuses on the arcane connection. First magnitude is enough to make a simple sound, a screech, in the cavern. Second magnitude, he can get concentration duration.¹ The casting feels right. If the arcane connection works, an eagle's screech should sound briefly in the cavern.
He leaves the stone where he can find it again, and returns to the entrance, trying to jump, in eagle form, as he previously did in human form. Is he able to return to the others?
¹ Rolled 4+13 assuming no aura . First magnitude.
aura +2, target is base:1, range(arcane connection):+4, with potentially unknown situational modifiers (most notably the one being tested for- the regio boundry). There is no screetch within the cave, and he is able to enter the regio again in eagle form.
The eagle falls through into the cavern. I am not sure if he falls through, or if he emerges on the floor!? Either way he changes quickly. He is excited and starts to speak only half dressed. «Did you hear my screech? I cast a Creo Imaginem spell from the outside. Did you hear the sound?»
"Not a single sound," Sionnach replies. "I think we're on the clear for bringing the spoon in. Though I'd stay for a while longer, the face there has me intrigued to say the least."
Arnar looks disappointed at the first no, but lightens up as Sionnach speaks. «Right. Yes. So it is a good regio. And getting in and out is easy enough. You can just jump through the ceiling, just as we jumped through the ground to get down.»
Shivering, Bran turns toward Arnar, "Do you think you can find enough rope to drop through the regio's entrance? So we might climb through?"
«I am not sure how that would work ... if we can actually run rope through the entrance. It does not feel like it. When we enter, it does not seem as if we pass gradually through a doorway. It is more like we are outside one moment and inside the next. How would that work with your rope?
«The only idea I have is to use a gust of wind and blow you through it.»
