As he makes people invisible, Talus speaks to Paphos. "You hold the young woman's hand; I'll hold Soot's hand. We don't want to get separated from them."
Once up on the roof, he sends a mental call to his familiar. Pallas, wake up! Trouble with the church. Can you get airborne so we'll be able to get some aerial intelligence?
I assume the spell does not affect Sparks (I don't see any penetration in the write up), would need 15 pen to work. She'll be at the stairwell, town between the now vanished people retreating to the roof and Mom going to the door.
Kathrine waves at sparks in the now very common gesture meaning "hide" as she calls out "one moment" before putting her hand on the door handle and giving sparks a 2 count to get out of site before opening the door.
Pallas responds back "Okay, flying over now. What did you do? they have 2 men with crossbows, 2 with swords, a priest and two dogs."
Sparks will head for the roof, intending to take off and hide among the nearby rooftops. She will take off out of sight of the front door, but quickly circle around to watch what happens. She does not know about the crossbowmen, so will take no particular precaution against them.
"It's looking like the priest got some dogs," Talus says quietly to the others. "Though they must be the devil's own dogs to track through a the smells of a city." And he considers that they might well be. "He also brought two crossbowmen. He means business. And I don't think the certain death he'd face at the hands of Katherine's husband will deter him from harming her, or at least threatening her. This may come to blows."
Kathrine opens the door and you can hear fragments of their conversation. The priest is being overbearing and bombastic, but Kathrine appears to have some backbone against his bluster- apparently being married to a dragon is not for the feint of heart. You doubt she will keep him out all together, and you can not hear the dogs who have apparently just now picked up the girl's scent, but she will likely delay him long enough to give you a good start if you can leave.
"Right," Talus says in a hushed tone as they head for the roof. "We're going to fly out of here to try and break the scent so the dogs can't follow. Paphos, you and I have flown before, so I want you to take the girl's hand and I'll take Soot's hand. We'll pick a place to land when we get to the roof so we can meet up again. I assume Sparks can follow on his own."
From the roof you can see the city below you, with an abundance of thatched and domed roofs... there are of course streets, both within the city and leading outwards...
"You see that clearing with the statue of the man on horseback in the center over to the west?" Talus asks. "The one near the large building with the domed roof painted white. We'll meet over there. Sparks, you take a roundabout route so that the priest can't see you. Paphos, warn the girls what's about to happen."

While he's casting Flight of Daedalus on everyone, find a good landmark, like a statue in a clearing, and make sure we're all looking at the same thing. Then take Soot by the hand and fly her over there.
Soot takes to the air like a natural (stress die 1&5+3 int=13 for Int+finesse roll)
Paphos finds he needs to be significantly more cautious (roll of 2+int 2=4)
Kawthar is doing slightly better than Paphos (die roll 6+0)
Talus (roll 1 & 9+Int:3+finesse 11=32) barely gives his flight a passing though.
As it turns out the square around the statue you picked is moderately busy, aside from the fountain that the statue is actually in the middle of.
Pallas? Talus thinks. Head to the west to the clearing with a fountain that has the statue of a man on horseback in the center. I need you to find some invisible people for me. For the moment, he and Soot remain in the air above the piazza.
Pallas lands on the statue and looks around "Your refugee girl is over there" he indicates a nearby stall with a pile of crates that have been stacked in an unusually neat and stable arrangement, enough for Kawthar to apparently land on. "As for Paphos he is still on his way." The owl looks back from where you came, Paphos has apparently only closed half the distance so far.
I told him to hold her hand, Talus mentally grumbles. But he leaves it at that. I'm going to find an alleyway where Soot and I can land and become visible again without being seen.
They did try to hold hands, but neither was doing really well at the int+finess roll and Kawthar was a bit paniced about the dogs- and once you let go when you are invisible in midair finding each others hands again is nearly impossible.
