I am beginning to ponder about failed apprentice, transformed human and perhaps with a few elementalist skills. Regarding the family I think that they could be a story hook for Acacius if needed.
I think you posted this on the wrong forum.
I'll move things on tomorrow morning, been a little busy.
OK, all of the characters can receive their rewards. The Grogs receive 7 xp which can be spent on any Abilities used during the adventure, which can include Languages such as English or possibly Latin, due to exposure. Dermot did want the clan to start using English.
Tessa receives 7 xp and 2 Confidence points.
Acacius receives 7 xp which can be spent on Arts as well as a spell mastery for Entrapping Vines. Acacius can also take a local Mundane Reputation of Gentle Healing Wizard at 1.
The Grogs back at the clan/camp receive 3 xp which can be put into English, Area Lore, or Folk Ken.
The Custos/Companions receive 3 which can be spent on similar Abilities, or if there are good reasons (story or merits) they might have more xp or can choose different Abilities.
The Magi will receive xp based on their activities.
Jaen is unfortunately not going to be played any more as Warjoski is not able to play any more.
Siobhan receives 5 xp due to her minor adventure while investigating the mystery of the monk. She can also gain a Hermetic Reputation (Stonehenge) of Meddler 1
Rhodri receives 2 xp from working in the lab with his former master creating the spell to raise the Covenant.
Bjorn receives 2 xp from working in the lab, to be spent on laboratory Abilities or Arts.
Now then, as you spend xp please update your sheets and please notate (Perhaps in a different font or color) what you spent it on and the date.
We next need to talk about the future of the game. I'll start that thread tomorrow. One of the things we need to talk about is the dwindling amount of players and perhaps some other topics.
Isn't Meddler and Queasitor the same reputation
Maybe I am mistaken but I would think so.
Well that all depends. For example, if after going to Voluntas, enjoying their hospitality, leaving with that fine Ermine cloak, and not only is Voluntas exhonerated by you but in fact you make beneficial recomendations for them, you'd have an entirely different reputation. Such a reputation could get you plenty of similar invites by Covenants facing their own quasi-legal issues.
Many Quaesitors have such reputations.
While Siobhan will speak warmly of their hospitality, their cooperation was grudging, trying to be very limiting, they allowed a hedge wizard (divine or not) into their library to make off with an unknown document. this related to those to make a saint of someone that was Martyred by ORder. IF they had bothered to actually look into this and presented me with the information on my arrival, I would have reacted a lot more favorable. Siobhan was trying to be neutral and instead they did things to make Siobhan more suspicious and more inclined towards the blackthorne side of the dispute for Voluntas being obstructionist to queasitors.
If THey have even take the tone that they messed up and realized it and were sorry. Showed signs of remorse for their mistakes in matter that Tribunal ordered investigation, things would have been nicer too.
And that's why reputations are usually started by someone other than yourself.
When the top Summer Covenant in the Tribunal calls you a meddler it tends to stick. But, as you said Meddler and Quaesitor is almost redundant, and many Quaesitor wear it with pride.
OK once again, sorry for the delay, unexpected festivities on Labor Day weekend kept me away from my computer. I'll be inviting both players and working them into the story. I'll begin the new thread as we bring the wizards together.
I’ll be travelling this weekend so I will not very likely write anything until Monday. So until the Acacius is somewhere with his plant and/or lab equipment.
OK, just a quick thing, in case you haven't realized it, all the Magi are actually at the clan campsite (except Acacius). Technically it's the end of Winter, Spring hasn't officially started yet, this way you won't miss days of work in Spring.
OK, I'm doing some cleaning up of the forums here. I'm deleting the magi that are no longer in the group. For the new players, I also need you to post 3 Grogs using the standard rules for Grog creation. They don't need to be of the McArdry clan, but the majority of the covenfolk come from that clan. You could even make them from some of the character (NPCs) that have made appearances so far.
The two newest Magi should also make Companions for each other, that will probably be the quickest way to get that taken care of. Feel free to PM each other to help design them and send me the sheets for approval please.
With all of the losses of the players, do the older players actually have players for their Magi's Companions still? We need to maybe take a roll call.
Consortos should not be assigned to a specific mage, I said this before and I believe it.
If I have a consortos (companion) and she is best for an adventure, She should go even if the mage associated is spending the season in the lab. If one of the companions is the local priest, he should not be limited to interacting with just one mage.
In specific, my companion is good for all sorts of bargaining and social interactions and between her and Tessa should be able to trade things off for the social/town support for the covenant.
You're right, my bad. That's what we agreed upon. I just started a table top game and am putting players through their paces and I just threw that out there.
ROF and Morlann, go ahead and make Companion level characters please, Ladyphoenix has explained it well what we're looking for. These aren't Mythic Companions though, regular ones, though they can have supernatural virtues and flaws.
I'm going to be taking a vacation starting tomorrow, but I should have some internet access. I expect I'll still be able to post once a day.
ROF and Morlann, please post some Grogs and Companions over the weekend if you're able to. We want to make sure we have a good turb of them. If you follow the rules for Grog creation that should be enough, I typically don't require those to be approved. Companions though I need to approve.
Roger.. Will get it done over the weekend. Kinda hurried at work these last few days....
Yep, that would be a negative on info about the Cask. Hermetic Lore with a Specialty in Magic items might be useful.
What about Magic Lore?
Int 4 + Magic Lore(Specialty in Objects) 3 + Simple Roll 2 = 8
invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2260696/
Well, possibly, but you rolled the same (and using the same Ability as Morlann, the only difference is that you have a specialty.
So the main thing you seem to know is that it's possibly a cask. What keeps throwing you is that they alternately refer to it as an item and a 'she'.
OK guys, slowing down here. What are your characters doing as this going on?
Boarding the ship and finding the securest and likely dried place to set down my pack and myself on my pack/chest of belongings. Siobhan is very nervous about the boat trip. As much as she was on trip from ireland to England (more so, she knows what a boat trip is now.). She prays she is not sick this trip.
