The third hand operates with an effective Str of +5. Many magi use such an item to hold items in place that they are enchanting. Others use it to hold lab texts in midair for easy reference. [size=150]Zacharias Ex Miscellanea, Second Tribunal (Ages 32-38)[/size]
During this tribunal Zacharias worked to get himself settled into life as a magus. Having built up a good supply of magical knowledge, he started by pursuing a rumor he'd heard about a magical owl that lived in or near a ruined temple to Zeus in Olympia. He traveled to the far side of Greece and discovered that there was a regio on the temple grounds, and in that temple was magical owl named Aristotle who lived there. Aristotle was keen to see the world, but was tied to the magic that sustained him. He found he got along well with Zacharias and welcomed the opportunity to see more of the world. He agreed to become Zacharias' familiar and the two returned to Thessaloniki to be bound together. The rest of the tribunal was spent mastering some of the spells he might cast within the city, tweaking his lab to be just right, and picking up some odd bits of knowledge along the way.
Just before heading off to the tribunal meeting, Zacharias meets a young lady named Anastaia who is the daughter of a mundane member of the Society of Alchemists. HE finds her captivating, not just because she's beautiful, but because she's clever as well. He vows to see more of her when the tribunal is over.

This tribunal, Zacharias focuses on his mathematical training, initiating into Hermetic Numerology and creating a numerologist's book. He begins to gain a reputation as a strong mathematician. Zacharias also starts inventing rotes that he can use safely in the Dominion Aura in which he lives, allowing him to use more magic outside of the the covenant grounds and his own residence in the city. As he gets older and doesn't show any signs of apparent aging, he instills a power in his familiar bond that will allow him to appear older when out in the city.
But it's not his professional life that forms the focus of this period of his life. Soon after the previous tribunal meeting is over, he spends some more time with Anastasia, wooing her and marrying her. She returns with him to Thessaloniki, and by the time Zacharias is ready to go to the next tribunal meeting, he and Anastasia already have two children, a boy named Isaac and a baby girl named Maria.

This stone rod can manipulate any item from afar and secure it in place where the magus wishes. The user need only grasp the rod and speak a command word. Then an item in range can be manipulated remotely. Once the user ceases concentrating, the item will stay where it is placed even if in midair, until a second command word is spoken. The third hand operates with an effective Str of +5. Many magi use such an item to hold items in place that they are enchanting. Others use it to hold lab texts in midair for easy reference. Still others use it to hold items over a flame to avoid getting burned. This gives a +1 General Quality and a +1 to Rego.

[size=150]Zacharias Ex Miscellanea, Fourth Tribunal (Ages 46-52)[/size]
During this tribunal, Zacharias continues development in his mystery cult, learning the mysteries of the lesser elixir and planetary magic. But he doesn't forget the numerological aspects of its teachings either, studying more math and developing more rotes. He also begins a test project for making his talisman, trying a similar device to see how the development progresses. To that end, he crafts the Arcane Ring and places a few enchantments in it. Starts making devices for Redcaps in the tribunal. During his few free seasons, Zacharias accepts the commission for a few minor Redcap items, feeling that he ought to give back a little to the tribunal.
But again, the greatest triumphs of this time period are in Zacharias' personal life. He and Anastasia have a third child, and they spend much of their time raising the children and doing those domestic things that make up a full life, but don't make a very good story.

With his greater item test completed, Zacharias is ready to construct his talisman, the Ring of the Magus, and he spends much of this tribunal period perfecting that artifact. He also learns Latin so that he can engage with the rest of the Order. In between lab activities, Zacharias works with the other magi of the covenant to fight the Infernal threat that has plagued the city since the atrocities performed by the Sicilian invaders in 1185. At the tribunal meeting at the end of this seven years, Zacharias is elected as an arche for the next seven years. He is assigned to the Conciliatory Board.
In his personal life, Zacharias and Anastasia enjoy having older children, watching them develop into the adults they will become. The three attend the covenant school where they receive an excellent education. By the time the next tribunal meeting comes around, Isacc, their eldest, is seventeen, and ready to take on the responsibilities of an adult.

Effect: When a tree or plant is placed in this pot, a command word can be spoken to have the plant bear fruit as if it had grown over the course of a full growth period. The process takes a full day or night for the fruit to fully grow. When used in the lab, this gives a +2 Cr Specialization, and a +1 He specialization.

This stone rod can manipulate any item from afar and secure it in place where the magus wishes. The user need only grasp the rod and speak a command word. Then an item in range can be manipulated remotely. Once the user ceases concentrating, the item will stay where it is placed even if in midair, until a second command word is spoken. The third hand operates with an effective Str of +5. Many magi use such an item to hold items in place that they are enchanting. Others use it to hold lab texts in midair for easy reference. Still others use it to hold items over a flame to avoid getting burned. This gives a +1 General Quality and a +1 to Rego.
