[color=green]Dimir Taar

[color=red]Oh, it's pretty simple actually.

There was some clue about Val Negra's location, so Xalbator took some magi and went to investigate these. Problem is, we haven't heard anything from them, so they may be in trouble, although you know xalbator. He'll go out of this just fine.

On the other hand... Remember this viola girl? She just went mad after venturing into the caverns of entropy. Figures :unamused:
It was decided to enquire, so I went along to make sure things didn't get too wrong.
Of course, it went badly, with these stupid faeries playing boring faerie games, but we all went out fine in the end.

In short? Don't bother, everything's as usual.

[color=blue]Marvel's Thor reference?

gulp :blush:

That was from a story over twenty years ago, I am amazed than anyone besides me still remembers it! I have a copy of every issue of the old series scanned to PDF on a cd. I was re-reading all the classic Walt Simonsen issues rescently :smiley:

Ok. I know what I am and you will be rightously smcked in the head by a giant-sized magus for thinking otherwise :laughing: An alternative idea to what you suggest is go out, give it to Alberto. Say I am sorry and be done with it :laughing:

Nah, just kidding. I have to read my character sheet (9 printed pages!!!) and see what I can do now. After that, I'll tell you what I do. :slight_smile:

Xavi

Muahahahahahaha!!!!

Anyway...
Ameline: You declined the use of the vision-dust, which is probably for the wiser. You are convinced that the best course of action is to remain watching over Kesara and devise a means of protecting her and fulfilling your quest. You notice she tends to be somewhat anti-social, and you notice that when she is being teased by some other girls, she walks right up to them and belts the largest one right across the chin with a left hook. The girls don’t tease her any more, but don’t want to play with her either. She likes it just fine that way. Perhaps you preach some parable or proverb to them?

Everytime, this makes Dimir Taar laugh or smile. He just likes this girl.

Thing is, maybe it's his bad influence. After all, Kesara has known him all her life :laughing:

Ameline does not look pleased at this turn of events and does indeed settle down to teach a parable or two, the first against the hostility and problems of making enemies instead of allies and of love over hate. The second is of forgiveness that makes forgiveness seem the greater good and this one is aimed at Kesara. She then asks if Kesara would work with her this season. It would be hard work but magical. Her plans for potentially studying Parma this season changed.

She speaks softly to kesara in latin, [color=blue]"have you learned the language of the order yet?"

Viola glares at that, though it's not clear whether what's offending her is the "mad" or the "girl".

Scott

That reminds me...

[color=green]Antonio: [color=red]How are you progressin in dealing with the faerie caves anyway? Recall that this is one of the reasons I brought you here in the first place. I say we should declare the place off limits for now and put it under your jurisdiction.

All new characters: You came here with Antonio of Flambeau &/or a resident Redcap named Lejla. Antonio was in Greece, then Egypt, Greece again, Italy, then Barcelona, then here. He was traveling with a Mercere magus named Rodrigo who stayed behind in Italy at Harco to finish up some business. Lejla had finished up some route business in Provencal, met Antonio in Barcelona, and they came here together.
I know that is all confusing. But in essence, what it means is that you could have met up with this entourage at any of those locations.
And there could be any wide variety of reasons you could have decided to tag along and why you were invited to or allowed to. Primarily Antonio wants to build up the membership of the covenant as high as possible with the hopes of forming a chapter nearby. There is also a convention this season. Two of them actually. Every three or four years, a small Flambeau societas called the Knights of Seneca has an informal gathering, and since Antonio was recently elected their Grandmaster, he is obliged to be the host. He has another meeting he needs to attend to later on this season, so he had hoped to get his business at Andorra done as quickly as possible. There are a lot of things going on right now, and he is probably more confused than anyone else as to what is going on.

Basically Kaloforo caught up with Antonio in Siena, after having left the Heiglische Reich.

He was introduced to him by one of the artistic studio, and caught up with the idea of going to Spain to visit the work of the Moors, he accepted quickly the idea of moving to far distant Spain, the farthest away from Kalomelan.

A relatively middle life man, tall and lank, (1,40cm and 55kg)with dark hairs (still in his head), pronounced nose, a dark goatee beard and moustaches. Wearing a distinctively foreigner attire, with a silk bluse, white in colour, and greysh long trousers a la fashion de Florence. He wears shoes, rather the sandals.

After entering the court of the castle, he start watching around the castle, observing the fortifications and the seems pondering the trip done to arrive here.

He then speaks in Latin to Antonio: "I'd like to thank you for your invitation to your castle, Archmage Antonio" pause the site is quite scenic and ispiring, I am quite hopeful my work here will be useful and appreciate".
He then turns to the donkey carrying his stuff, in case someone greets him he salutes him back rather formally.

Antonio misunderstood you, and you have not bothered correcting him. he thought you said you wanted to help in the struggle against the Moors. He says "Shhhh! Not so loud..."

Kaloforo turns to Antonio with a odd smile, (confusion?), making an affirmative sign with the head. Turning to the Archmage. "Please, Master Antonio, would you be so kind to tell me where to bring my tools?" in latin. Then, getting nearer to the Archmage, he speak to him in a soft voice in latin "does these people understand latin?"

[color=red]Most of them do. Latin or Catalan (Catalan is a dialect of Occitain/Provencal, I get them confused). A few speak Spanish, my own native language. Your tools, um, well there are several guest labs, nothing special. Just pick one. Heck, I introduce you to Dimir Taar, our own resident Verditius. You two should get along well :smiley:

(actually, the native language of Antonio would be Castillian. Spanish is not a concept yet)

Mastro Kalomelano looks at the Archmage with deference due to his rank and thanks him for his advice(in getting there) and his advice(not to talk too much, in general). He bows tactfully (...sort of) to him and take a leave, moving toward the castle, looking at the people, observing the poeple and their customs. What they wear, how they speak and so on; he then enters the main body of the castle, asking in latin, looking for the free rooms. After having found some of his liking, he sets up looking for Dimir Taar, the resident Verditius.

LOL, I know. But it is less confusing for prople that way. Using Jarkman's notes, Castilian and Leonese are dialects of Spanish.

You will have to wait until he is paying attention :laughing:
Dimir Taar is being played by Fixer.

Amen to that, brother...
The process of preparing a lab will take a couple of seasons, as per Free Outiftting Flaws: Basic pag.116 Covenants.
During the lunch or dinner break, Kaloforo often draws sketches of the various inhabitants of the castle. If asked, he will give the sketch to whoever. if inquired about, he will answer, looking for an inspiration.

By the way, I could notice in the Caverns of Entropy a reference to a certain red box, B1, the mad hermit... So long time ago...

Yep yep. And we are that castle :smiley:

Theseus Ex Merinita (Latin): "I am Theseus Ex Merinita, I have come here along a long road. I am hoping to find a place to call home, a covenant where I might carry out my work, and stalwart companions in good standing within our noble Order of Hermes. May I enter your Aegis and enjoy your hospitality?"
To Lejla: "It has been a great journey, I pray we shall travel together again soon. May the road meet you gently, and the wind grace your back"

Saul (Latin): "I am Saul, well versed in Hermetic theory, I seek work under Hermetic Magi. I seek a place to call home, a place to practice my craft, and earn a living befitting my training. I ask permission to cross this threshhold, and enter in peace"
