Serenissima Obscura is now in its last 2 days and the Ars Magica community has been a great support.
We - however still need a bit more than 20 backers to buy the Ars Magica Guide to Serenissima Obscura to reach the community goal – the offset print version of this dedicated add-on!
Now is the time to pledge or upgrade your pledge – also because the print version of this book will not be available in retail later. It is exclusive to the crowdfunding.
In case you are not yet convinced, here is my sales-pitch again: If you love Ars Magica, you will love Serenissima Obscura.
The Magical Renaissance is the natural evolution of Mythic Europe — a world where magic is rising, fae-blooded lineages are stepping into the light, and the Order of Hermes faces a turning point in history.
This setting is steeped in rich historical and mythological detail, crafted by veteran Ars Magica storyguides and translators who’ve lived and breathed the system for decades. It’s designed to explore mysteries, tensions, and the consequences of magic breaking through into the mundane world.
The dedicated Ars Magica Guide tailors the entire setting to your saga, with a Murano covenant, Order history through 1507, 80 stat blocks, and companion conversion tools.
Blagdaross Ediciones, the publisher for the Spanish edition of AMDE, just released the teaser page of the crowdfunding project, that will start on October, 1st. You can have more info here: Spanish-edition AMDE teaser page released
My first public release under the Open License (if you don't count ArM5, I guess) is now available.
Glosses and Commentaries revises the rules for writing books to make it rational for scholars in Mythic Europe to share their scholarship as commentaries on revered texts, and to write glosses on those texts to make them easier for others to understand. These were very important practices in the medieval period, and so I wanted to introduce them for Mythic Europe. It also includes an example for how these rules work for one text: Bonisagus's original text on Magic Theory.
I get a better percentage on Patreon, but you are more likely to have an account on DTRPG. As far as I know, you do need an account on Patreon to buy there, but you do not need to be a member of my Patreon. However, everyone who has bought so far has been at least a free member, so I am not 100% sure about that.
I have translated my latest adventure, The Missing Baroness (La Baronne Disparue) into French and it is as of now available on DTRPG.
This is a test to see if there is a real interest in adventures being provided in French as well as in their original language. Depending on the response, I will see if it is worth translating future releases…
The Missing Baroness was not only missing, but also jealous of her English and French counterparts, so the adventure has also been released in Spanish now, and is available on DTRPG.
