Not necessary. I cast light on my knife. I am starting to think the rocks are sentient, don't disillusion me with facts! LOL!
Heh heh heh....
OK, so what are you going to do with the knife?
Scott
Look around the room, see if I can confirm if it is the same large chambber as before, and if so, is the large rock still there or has it moved?
You can't find the rock...but it was a BIG room. For all you know, the room is three miles across, and the rock in question is close to another wall.
Scott
I discharge a Lightning Bolt off into the distance. The brief flash and the size of the bolt should give me a vague idea of how large the chanber is.
The edges of the flash disappear into darkness.
Scary, huh?
Scott
Vugarth Swamp was scary. This is just annoying. (LOL, not you, I mean Carmen is annoyed by her situation, fear doesn't register properly in her brain because of the Reckless Flaw).
I blast up and at an angle. Don't want rocks falling on me. How high is the roof?
I then find a wall, and start following it to the RIGHT, with Cuckles in tow behind me.
Um...you think you see a roof up there, at the edge of the light cast by the lightning bolt. Maybe.
Scott
Now that is scary. Even with the echo in here, my voice does not reach the ceiling.
Okay, I find a wall and I follow it to the right.
No, no echo in this room. If I said that earlier for this or the (possibly) other big room, I was mistaken.
As for following the wall...you eventually come to another passage.
Scott
You never said if there was or wasn't. I simply presumed from the siz of the chamber that there would be an echo. Lack of an echo is a significant piece of information though.
Okay, I take the side passage.
Decimus guard the grogs. (Just posting to make sure that I have not abandoned the saga, it’s just that Decimus is a bit out of place.)
I think we'll wait for the others to arrive before we do anything else.
Scott
We arrive whenever you want it.
Although Dimir would have loved a season sorting through the vault, he can't affort it due to carmen's situation.
After some travelling the troupe sent to free Carmen and the others arrives at the cave entrance.
I pause before taking the side passage. If there is no echo in this chamber, it must be unimaginably immense. This could prove to be an interesting resource.
Okay, I am sponting a bigger Light spell, using Ceremonial magic, a bit of Creo vis, and Confidence if need be. Level 15, base 5, +1 Touch, +2 Ring, +0 Circle. I make a circle 10 feet in diameter. I'll crunch the numbers later. It will take Carmen 45 minutes to cast this spell.
Ameline sees it is a cave and considers,[color=red]"I think that this should be first on the agenga since it is a cave." She focuses and starts to speak in a chanting latin that is full or prayers. There is nothing recognizably hermetic in her prayer to god. As she finishes, there is the soft echo of a church choir in the air for a moment and suddenly the cross around her neck begins to glow brightly shedding light. She looks a little fatigued.[color=red]"Give me a moment to catch my breath and then we can go in."
OOC: Cast CrIg Spont with fatique: create light on my cross for Office duration (until next holy office which could be minutes or up to 3 hours depending on how close we are to one.) similiar to lamp without flame (level 10 equivalent). base 4 +1 office, +1 touch), Casting roll 18 so fairie 4 or magic aura 2 for it to go off. Take 2 minutes to get back the fatigue level., If it failed, I will try again after two minutes. Second try succeeds on Faerie aura 2 or magic aura 1,
Marie briefly considers usiing a defensive spell like wizard's sidetep, but then decides against it, knowing that protection decreases danger awareness.
OK, so are you going in?
Soctt
Ameline finally catches her breath, [color=red]"If there is a missing companion in there, we should go. We have light, we have someone that can see Regio boundaries I hope and magic if that fails. We need to find anyone else you have still in there and to speak to the faeries. They are going to know I am present though the moment I step in." Ameline steps forward to the cave entrance knowing that she might not have divine might but she is about close to such a being as possible without having it.
