Fighting very large opponents

reme is size agnostic though so you could just sleep them first

Generally speaking, you are right. However, an ingenious magus can often bypass these issues.

For example, with a modest level of Imaginem he can have an illusion (e.g. of himself running in circles) keeping the giant(s) occupied, while he invisibly traces a wide circle around the scene.
EDIT: just as I clicked the button to submit this post, I noticed an ant slowly going around my armchair ...

Or he can change into something that is a cricle, say, 30 paces in diameter, and then he can draw a circle where he is with very little movement. A 200-ton, 110-pace long giant snake biting its tail in the shape of a circle can draw a 30-pace diameter circle on the ground almost without moving, just by wiggling a bit. And I can picture a Flambeau becoming a circular curtain of flame with MuCo(Ig), and then burning the circle into the ground!
