Well, nothing special yet. She seems to be a bit unlucky, though, as she's already ruined several things, including her spell attempt, and sullied her clothes with spilled wine.

Unrelated to anything else being discussed, I wanted to ask what Andorra's relationship is with Mistridge. Checking out some very good maps of the region, even with Mythic geography (i.e. the fictional Val du Bosque) it looks like Mistridge is within seven leagues of the Andorra Covenant. Meaning they're the closest Covenants to one another, and even if Andorra is currently considered unaffiliated with any Tribunal (I still think that it is Iberian, but that's me) it is very close to what is happening in the Provencal Tribunal. It's also not far at all from the main Cathar resistance center, and that has a lot of political and religious significance.
Good questions. And potential stories
By the way, I updated Khyron's page, with all relevant data
I know little about Mistridge. Isn't that the one with the Tremere vampire and where the grogs revolted against the magi? If you feel comfortable with the idea, maybe you can run a beta SG story involving it
As for the Andorra wiki, go check it out everyone! I have been tinkering with it too. Added a few items, a spell or two, and updated the description of the Andorran Guard.
Fixer is awesome
Arf...
Thanks Marko.
I can't always update it, and I can't do as much as I'd like, but I try to have it be at least a coherent and reliable source of info for us.
True enough.
IMO, you could also try to learn some Methods and Powers, so as to gain access to their guidelines. While clearly less powerful than infernal powers, these should nonetheless be fun. For exemple, adjuration can let you create better wards than Hermetic Magic (Purity), and force even demons to tell the truth (Invocation) ![]()
Ach! No. You're thinking of the WoD version of Mistridge, not the Mythic Europe/Ars Magica version. There are several treatments of Mistridge: 2nd Ed. "Covenants", the example of Covenant creation in the 3rd Ed. main book, and the 3rd Ed. sourcebook "Mistridge". The last is the most comprehensive, though I won't pretend for a moment that there weren't some gaffes in character description. Many of the early adventures--2nd and 3rd Ed.--involved Mistridge or the Val du Bosque. Studying maps of the region, I've concluded that Mistridge is extremely close to the RL Tarascon-sur-Ariege area, just across the border from Andorra.
The excellent nonfiction work "The Yellow Cross" details the history of the Cathars and the last Cathar uprising in the region, giving many details pertinent to Andorra as well. Utilising maps from the Napoleonic surveys, the author gives a startling late 13th/early 14th century description of the region.
I suppose that I could work on a story involving Mistridge. Note that even when White Wolf published Ars Magica there were multiple potential timelines charted out for Mistridge, its allies, and its enemies.
But is there a Tremere vampire there? If so, I can think of a cool way to adapt that to 5th edition, make it spooky yet not infernal. Suppose a Tremere Necromancer altered the Living Ghost mystery and found some way to bind his spirit to a reanimated bdy. Or better yet, was able to gain the power of corporeal manifestation (or has a spell that duplicates said power).
Again, there are/were NO Tremere Vampires at Mistridge! WoD represents a different timeline/universe. In that one Doissestep is only the latest incarnation of a Covenant that has been around for thousands of years, most recently in Asia Minor (before being shifted physically--we're talking the whole place, not just the people--to the Pyrennees in the 8th Century).
Grimgroth isn't even a member of HOUSE Tremere in every version of Mistridge. At least one (3rd Ed. main book) has him describing himself as a member of House Jerbiton.
Though there could certainly be Tremere Vampires out there. I don't buy the whitewash of 5th Ed. completely. Spectacular job incorporating Classical sources into a House (long overdue, in my opinion), however, it doesn't feel like the Tremere of prior editions. I tend to view it as one "face" of the House.
Please, no vampires ![]()
But as a living ghost, you can possess your own body. If you enchant it so as to preserve it at least somewhat for decay, here you are! Instant lich! ![]()
You can even add enchantments versus damage.
Best thing? Whatever the enchantments, it's your old body that gets warped, not you! This could become very strange over the years, with a body distorted by magic and all
Vampires are probably immune to Warping. They're no longer mortal, but have become creatures of either the Magical or Infernal realms--or perhaps, in some instances, Faerie (though Lhiannan Sidhe are not known to reproduce in that fashion). They're also no longer protected by the Code, at least according to practical action. If one were to become a Magical or Faerie Vampire, he or she might make a case that the Code still applied, but it would be a very difficult challenge with no certain guarantte. The petitioner would probably be extinguished in a Wizard's War issued by a high-Powered Hoplite before it ever reached Tribunal.
I will reiterate, I am referring to the "Ars Magica" Mistridge, NOT the WoD version. Tremere Vampiric Corruption according to 4th Ed, and I'm inclined to recognise that there were some, but that doesn't take us along the WoD timeline.
If I remember, there were some things in the Tremere section of True Lineages that hinted at vampirism within house tremere but it wasn't really vampire (dhampir I think).
The important thing about vampire or living ghost not being member of the order is proving that it is a living ghost or vampire and not just badly twilight warped mage. After all, scrying on them is still against the cost so proof is not exactly easy to get.
You entirely missed my point ![]()
I was talking about a living ghist having enchanted his old body to preserve it from decay, and that body becoming warped. Not of vampires ![]()
Also, IIRC, by 5th raw, vampires are infernal creatures at heart, but have been copied by the faeries, so there are faerie vampires. But I can remember no mention of magical ones, and this runs contrary to how Magic now works.
Exactly.
IIRC, it is said there were one that became a mage, long ago. Since then, dhampir becoming mages (some have the gift) have been forbidden (you can, though, as a Dark Secret). A mage dhampir that dies become a vampires, a NPC, and lose all his magical powers.
I think any opponent can be fun from a pimply vampire to a dragon with rooten breath...

One of the best "haunts" I ever came up with for a Living Ghost is the Isle of Britain. It meets the geographic boundary requirements, encompasses two Tribunals, and is a huge domain for a Mythic entity to inhabit. It'd require a lot of work to get the Level of the Ritual high enough, but it is still attainable.
The Living Ghost ritual disintergrates your original body. However, you can Creo-Corpus yourself a new one, or maybe even three!
Think back to the visit to Val-Negra and the encounter with Abaddon
Merry Christmas Andorra!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! My hours are odd because I work at a pub as a cook. And oh-man! have we been getting slammed the last two nights! Last Night and this night we were hopping. And I am the only line cook on duty! For NYE, we have already sold a few hundred tickets for reservations, and they are charging double price for door admission! We ill have two buffets running at the same time. Then from 11pm on till close I am solo in the kitchen. Then on Friday, New Years Day, we have three large groups that have booked the club upstairs for parties (one at a time of course). Predictions according to records are that we will have over five hundred people packed into the place at any given time all throughout the day and evening, and that we will be having to turn people away at the door. That means a lot of burgers and steaks and appetizers (all served extra salty, so you buy more beer
). Then Saturday and Sunday look to be heavy also. I will have worked all seven days this week, making nine consecutive days in a row. Joping to pocket some good overtime next check
A belated merry christmas and happy new year everyone!
And gods, it is hot in Brazil!
