Insects are a bit too small I think for Bjoernaer. They have to be noble beasts. A bird word work well. We had a Bjoernaer Auram specialist of a falcon, and that went well.

Moths could be considered noble beasts. Similar to Eels. it specifically says heartbeasts that are too small (-8 ) can increase to the minimum size (-7). if you want me to change his heartbeast, I will, but it fits my ideas for him personality wise.

I actually kind of like the idea. A moth is a neat idea, just stay away from my clothing.

Ok then, moth it is. Should be interesting.

I like uncommon heartbeasts. Moth is a good choice.

Alright! How does it look? I'm very open to constructive criticism.

Spells:

Call down the Storm’s Hammer (CrAu 25)
R: Sight, D: Momentary, T: Individual
Cast during a storm, this spell conjures a lightning bolt which will strike any object or individual within sight range. The bolt will cause +30 damage and those near the target of the spell must make Size stress rolls of 6+ or get knocked off their feet. In Beneger's version of this spell, the bolt of lightning causes a colorless patch of ground, rather then a burn mark, where it lands.
Mastery Score 25/3; (multi cast) (Stalwart Casting) (Penetration)
(From the spell wiki.)

Vision of Heat's Light (InIg 20)
R: Per, D: Sun, T: Vision
Allows you to see the heat of objects that are of human body temperature or hotter. Excellent for use in the dark, but doesn't give true vision. You can see well enough to use a weapon, even a missile weapon, without penalty, but cannot recognize people. While under the effects of this spell, Beneger's eyes are completely white.
Mastery: 0/1 (Harnessed Casting)

Ward Against Heat and Flames (ReIg 25)
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Ind
Keeps heat and fire at bay, unable to approach within 1 pace of the target. This renders the target immune to damage from flames or heat of intensity less than that of molten iron. The target gets a +15 soak against all fire related damage. Any fire doing less than 15 damage per round doesn't penetrate the ward. In Beneger's version, such fires fade and are colorless at his passing, the color returning after he is gone.
Mastery 25/3; (Obfuscated Casting) (Quick Casting) (Stalwart Casting)

A Quarrel of Zeus and Thor (CrAu 35)
R: Sight, D: Dia T: Group
The caster summons a mighty, thunder and lightning producing storm at any place he can see. When the spell expires, the storm dissipates as quickly as it began. Beneger's version is completely without color. Even the rain seems to dull the colors of what it wets.
Mastery 0/1; (Stalwart Casting)
(Modification of 'Clouds of Thunderous Might, converted to Creo, duration incrased. This storm gathers nearly instantly, rather then at a natural pace.)

Words With the Gale (InAu 30)
R:Touch D:Concentration T:Group
Beneger can speak with weather phenomena, and while they do not necessarily speak sensibly, they are at least intelligible.
Mastery 0/1; (Stalwart Casting)

Ward against rain (ReAu 10)
R: Per, D: sun, T: Ind
No rain falls on the caster, no matter how bad the weather.
Mastery 0/1; (Still Casting)

Appearance: Beneger's violet eyes seem to be the only point of color amid his simple, colorless robes, pale skin, and long, white hair. Small and thin, he doesn't seem imposing, but you seem to notice him almost instantly in a crowd, or when he enters a room.

History: Beneger, the child of a noble family in London, was born a frail albino. He spent his childhood with teachers and tutors as a result. His gift manifested at the young age of 8, and was noticed by Flavius ex Bjornaer. Taken from his parents, he entered apprenticeship at age 10. During his Ritual of Twelve years, nine months into his apprenticeship, his Heartbeast was revealed to be that of a Large moth of the purest white.

A few moons before he was to take The Oath, Caius ex Bonisagus took interest in the young Filius, Curious of his heartbeast and hoping to research them to further Bonisagus's own theory. He had planned to take Beneger as his own Apprentice. Flavius refused, rushing Beneger though the Oath and parma before a Tribunal could be convened to force the matter. Uncaring about the hefty fine levied upon him, Flavius would not want to lose a member of his herd for such a fickle reason. Rumors have spread, however, that Beneger was not ready to finish his apprenticeship, and for whatever reason, they've spread.

Welcome Averru.

Especially like the colorless aspect. Nice.

What's the source and extent of the Temporal Influence? Your family? Who are they?

That would be the Cormeilles, his well off noble family in London.

Well met, Averru

I am unfamiliar with Blatent Sigil, what are the effects of it?

That's a bad-ass moth!

Considering the antipathy that might be present for a magus with this background, a negative reputation might be an appropriate flaw.

Blatant Sigil: (minor hermetic flaw): Your spell Sigil is blatant. It is easy for people to notice spells that were just cast by the effects of the caster's sigil. Also makes Hermetic identification from a Sigil significantly easier.

So, Qc, -1 hermetic reputation? Or take an actual flaw?

Alright, I've changed his spell list some, and corrected a number of bookkeeping errors. (Thank you!)

Rough draft for his Heartbeast:
This being the first Heartbeast I've ever created, help and suggestions (As well as criticism) are greatly appreciated!

That's what I figured. I'm assuming your social contacts are through your family as well.

Looked over the Heart Beast. Nothing about attraction to flame/light?

Adding that.....

I've also been given the idea of changing 'tormenting master' to 'Enemy (bonisagus) specifically the bonisagus who wanted him as his apprentice. Would mean essentially the same thing, but a lot smoother play. Thoughts? I'm very much leaning this way.

Would depend on how much of a challege you want.

Flavius would be house specific trouble. The Bonisagus, who probably has more political clout, would mean tribunal trouble. At least that's my guess. Either way, you've got a challenge. Maybe take enemies and ask the SG to surprise you. Finding out who your enemy is might make an interesting story in and of itself.

I was thinking a flaw of Hedge Wizard would work pretty well. It would apply as someone who has an unearned title. The Tribunal feels you didn't enter it properly and your own Parens could spread rumors because you spurned him.

Hedge Wizard comes with its own reputation.

OK, those in the caves (Acacius and Elysia) your post will come with your response to her question.

Those in the food tent, you can make a roll of either Theology or Order of Hermes Lore regarding St. Nerius.

Siobhan you can make a roll of Order of Hermes Lore regarding the strange old magus from Scotland.

Please let me know of any specialties that you have that you think would apply. If you don't have the abilities you can't roll.

Bjorn, if you'd like to add a Tracti on Magic Theory as part of your contribution of points, we can design it together with this elelment.

See yas tonight!

Bjorn's intent is more is see who is experimenting and researching with new shape and material bonuses for future reference. He thinks the known shape/material bonuses to be quite limited, and would like to get into his own research down the line at some point. Figuring Bjorn had no funds on him for a tractatus, I didn't intend for him to buy, just gather information. I see him getting into Hermetic Alchemy eventually.

QC,

Don't have either Order of Hermes Lore or Theology.

OK, we'll see if we can find someone that can help. There are actually a few from the Halls of Verdi in Stonehenge.
