Worth looking into, at least.
I think it is rare enough to be the obvious thing to push over. I don't think "filling the space" is going to be our problem on the screen…

If you're listed R/D/T, I would include the fourth parameter, size. That is probably the parameter that trips people up the most. Part of that is due to locating the base Individuals, part of that is because many of the base Individuals aren't really clear until you get to A&A, and part of that is because you have to check the Target section to see how many base Individuals there are in bigger Targets.
... and the sensory parameters (touch, taste, smell, hearing, sight).
There are certain things where you want a quick concise summary, which a screen or booklet is perfect for. The moment the reference booklet gets too big, or there is so much material on the screen it's cluttered in a tiny font, they lose their benefit, as you may as well refer to the rule book. A screen's benefit is brevity.
Duplicating long lists, I consider a screen and reference booklet is not the best place for it.
Shape and material bonuses, that is going to take up at least one page, I'd think. Assuming AM definitive will collect all the disparate shape and materials bonuses across all the books in to one place, a page reference seems better.
Weapon and armour lists also falls in to this category. Weapons and armour effects should be referred to once, at character creation, and written on the character sheet.
Others I'd question the benefit of giving them space, consider how often they are referred to.
Encumbrance - Calculated at character creation I'd think. Loot fests, picking up thousands of gold coins and a magic sword and breastplate, is not a common AMs kind of thing. Encumbrance may matter in other games and justify DM screen space, but I'd say no for AM.
Travel Distance - How important is it to be quickly referred to? How often does the SG needs something more precise than, "It takes roughly 3 days, it takes roughly 3 hours, etc to get there." If the troupe wants exact, are they referring to their portable hourglass? I think that can remain in the book.
Lastly, I know I bring this up every time I can, so my apologies, but in combat mechanics, that's where I want the space spent.
Spell damage rolls. Specify if it includes would penalty effects.
Helpless opponents - Is it no dice roll and - 10 defence? Are wound penalties included? Is it instant death, if a botch isn't rolled?
Surprised opponents - Do they not get a roll, but still get their defence total?
I don't want specific rules for things like cover, attacking from high ground, etc. I believe the intent has always been the SG just gives bonuses or penalties ranging from probably -6 to + 6 for most situation which may come up, and maybe a rare -9 or +9 for very improbably advantageous or deleterious situations. I think others may want cover and some other common combat events on a screen though.
Fairly often in my case.
One thing I'd like in the Booklet is a brief table with "typical" Might levels. Something like that in RoP:F, p.47, perhaps limited to the bolded entries, and certainly encompassing all four Realms instead of just Faerie.
One might be tempted to say it's not useful since every troupe gets to decide freely whether brownies are Might 1 or 100. I think it's very, very useful: it allows a Storyguide to get a sense of the implicit assumptions made in the design of the line, and seamlessly juxtapose one's own creations with those pulled from the books.
Will there be a collated R/D/T somewhere?
I always have trouble with the Merinita, for instance.
Already on. I agree, it's very important.
This is why I am asking on the forums. While it's not a representative sample, it's likely to be better than just my instinct as to what is important. In this case, I would have agreed with Lee about travel times, but not about combat, so the screen will be a bit different from my initial image.
The bolded entries would make sense, yes. That would probably have been a good idea for the book, as well, but nobody brought it up at that point… (There is a bit of discussion, but a table would be helpful.)
The licence will let people make it. The ones that rely on Virtues and have whole systems behind them are just too much to put in ArMD, and putting ones that most magi can't use in a central location is likely to be confusing. I think it would be a useful fan supplement, though.
Reputation? Both how it works and how to change Reputations. This is found in different places, and I'm always rooting around for one or the other
Looking forward to have my hands on this!
Yes, it might be worth having the rules for that in one place. Probably the booklet, because I don't think it's high enough priority for the screen.
