A hoarse laugh
Ah ah ah. You know me too well. Those were good times indeed. But you get my point. Smart and cunning can make do for lack of strength, and you're one of the smartest guys I know*°.
Regulus soon drowns out. The journey, and his wounds, have been exhausting for him.
The night goes peacefully.
Speeding things:
You have no trouble going back to the covenant. You almost DO get attacked by a bear fishing in the River, but Marcellus manages to scare him away with his "Panic of the Elephant's Mouse" spell. Soon after, you join up with Menaut and a score of grogs.
Now, what do you want to do?
. We can wrap this up
. We can try to have chats between Marcellus and Regulus
. I have the half-formed core of a second part, if you want to keep on playing. Not sure how it'll hold up, though.
About the Parma, regulus proposal was not surprising. He'd been long complaining that not teaching the Parma to apprentices was stupid, and his master held similar view.
*° Explanation. I'm going with:
- the idea that the average mage Int stat is lower than +3
- that Int, with its focus on "scholarly" activities, is more akin to IQ than general smarts (which would come from roleplay)
and - that Marcellus is an inventive genius, which, IMO, feels more like "this guys is brillant" than an simple stat increase.
Also, FWIW, I've put up a small page with all known info about regulus
