I didn't want to be abusive. I can spend a few more points if people are OK with that. Yes, losing roughly 10 xp per year forever is rough (only 2 lost for exposure). Mostly I was considering Stamina type stuff if I were to add more to represent the strengths of a zombieish body. I might also consider night vision.
It just fit the image and I like the contrast, like a really charismatic disfigured guy who has to hide his face. It won't help much due to the -9, though maybe in some circumstances it will bring totals close to 0. Besides, I think someone once said zombie chicks are hawt.
I figure she could head toward any of a couple avenues (scout, healer, certamen master) for the Tremere, depending on where things head from here.
Based of Fightmaster's worry, here's a version with mostly added Stamina stuff:
Int +2, Per +2, Str -2, Sta +3, Pre +1, Com +1, Dex +1, Qik +1
Magic Might 5-2=3
Gifted [3]
Imbued with the Spirit of Corpus [1]
Improved Soak [1]
Improved Powers [1]
Personal Power: Ghostly Form/Physical Form [1]
Personal Power x2: Incorporeal Form [2]
Second Sight [1]
Small Claws [~1]
The most important House Rule of "No Munchkinism" would apply here. That is just silly.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. And I don't know if the idea is kosher or not. I just don't wanna ponder it.
Ryu thinks Gifted Might is invalid. That Quality does exist, but maybe that is not the best way to go. This apprentice is supposed to be a side character, like a companion level sort.
What of my idea of pappa necromancer's ghost aiding in preserving supernatural virtues?
Having said what I just said, I read the rest of what everyone posted, and I do like the way the concept is working out.
And I like that Callen is focused on limiting himself.
I am also starting to think "what if you made or developed into a Companion Level Failed Apprentice?". Think about it: In the long run, she will fall way behind in learning. And it will get worse as her might grows. But she can do lab work on her own, and learn many low level spells.
I am just staying out of it. Produce three sigils approving this idea and it's good. I keep making it worse.
Not nescessarily, but IIRC, the alternative (assuming he doesn't rely on magic to survive and he's one of the lucky few) is that he might be rendered mundane and lose any qualities/inferiorites he might have had, including the Gift.
But I thought of another thing. Since he has MM and since Aegis don't need to penetrate (and thus his Parma is useless), he won't be able to enter a foreign Aegis without a token.
Also, we might want to be wary, I'm not sure the reduced might inferiority acts on the "real might", the one that reduces XP, so this might stink a lot more.
That's why I thought it'd be easier anyway to just take some fatigue-using powers and do a non-magical Orphan Born.
The more I read this, the more I think that he'd be more interesting as a zombie than as an apprentice. I'd make a cool companion.
That's an interesting problem to have to deal with.
I'm pretty sure there are only two Might things: Might and Might Pool. There's no real Might and fake Might.
Not that you can't give powers to mundanes via Virtues, but the earlier interpretation of that section implying non-magical Orphan Born is inconsistent with the way the section was written. Everything in that section is about Magic Humans (meaning with Might). Look at the examples in there to see that listing Virtues does not imply non-Magical.
I'll play around with a non-Magical version of the character and see what I come up with... This will have to assume her father opnened her Arts before dieing.
If we purchase lab virtues, does that mean we're taking over an intact lab with those virtues when we join Andorra, or do we still need to spend seasons setting up the lab?
Can't be sure since I'm working from memory, so I might be wrong (and the terms are surely sloppy), but there may be a bit where your might is 05, reduced by the inferiority, but still counting as 5 for XP purposes.
For powers to mundanes, I remember clearly. Greater Power, Focus Power and Lesser Power all have versions for non-magical characters that rely on fatigue instead of might (IIRC, 1 fatigue per 5 might).
But for the same reason, I can't look the section right now (I'd have to note to look at it at home).
I am sorry, I just can't be precise Oh, the pdf for virtues! Maybe? Yes!
See, it lists 2 entries for Personal Power. One as a minor supernatural virtue, on RoP:M p47 (this is what I'm referring to, a priori), and one as a minor quality, on RoP:M p 41 (this must be the one for magical creatures).
May be wrong, but I'd say the second option, of else, it makes no sense IMO
OK, hopefully this will make everyone happy. It's assuming her father opened her Arts but died shortly there-after. I tried to roughly recreate the Magic Human as a normal person.

And I don't see how you're gonna have the Incorporeal form with just one instance of Personnal Power. IIRC, base is about 35, whereas PP gives you 25 levels per instance (Or I am wrong and it is 50? I don't remember it that way, but, well, I tend to be senile )...
Sigh... Check guidelines.... I think this uses the MuCo base 30 (Turn a human into an insubstantial object), almost what I thought, and you need at least some duration, so probably lvl 35.
Assuming Personnal Power gives you 25 levels, maybe you can take it twice, and use the extra levels either to drop the might (and thus fatigue) cost to 0, or to take another PP?
Do we have build points to spend on stuff? I noticed the companions have lots of magic items (well, Fedora gets magic items as a Redcap, but either she's got extra from build points or she's actually 100 years old :p) and I'm wondering, is that a companion thing, or do our magi get stuff (besides what we've enchanted ourselves) as well?
I know Vulcanus is showing up with an old Valdarian text, just wondering if he gets to bring anything that others can use, too.
Check the 'Mustering Out' post in the House Rules thread. We receive 21 Form vis per cycle, which can be used normally or spent in a fashion similar to covenant build points.
