Table Talk (OOC)

Ah, my bad! :stuck_out_tongue:

Since we are approaching the end of the year, happy holidays to everyone!

Are we still up for this saga? It seems Clusius had an accident during his research and entered a temporary twillight, making it impossible for him to answer the Telsberg invitation before the winter arrived. =/

This might be a good opportunity to bring new players into the saga. While they make their characters
and settle I could run something, to keep our old bones moving? I sure have a few ideas for things that would interest Clusius during the harsh winter in the icy covenant.

My bad. Things have been intense and a bit stressful at work, which hasn't given me much mental space to work on the saga. :frowning:

I am certainly open to having new players join the saga, such as it is, but I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to dedicate to it for the next two months.

If you want to take a more active role storyguiding and validating concepts for the any new player, go ahead! I'll try to chime in as time allows.

No problem. We are all busy, I also dropped the ball a bit.

I'll bump the last open call to let people know we have slots.

@Plot_Device, are you still here? Any thoughts? I still intend to run that story about giants, if you want to play, and if you want to run something I can finish that minor hedge wizard (in case you are stuck on what would be good for Regulus).

I am still around. I can't deny I'd given up, but excited at the prospect that this could get moving again. I hadn't thought of a hedge wizard as a hook for Regulus, but I think I did have some vague ideas. To be honest I've forgotten whatever I had, but I don't mind starting over.

I was actually thinkint of stating my companion (I had commited to a hedge wizard). I'd play with him instead of Regulus, in the case you think Regulus is too chalenging to run stories for. =]

But if you want to play a hedge companion I'd gladly concede... And of course, Regulus would promptly investigate any report of magic, to make sure we don't have anyone breaching the code. :male_detective:

Just throwing some ideas around. I'm fine with whatever sticks. If you already have something in mind we can go with that. =]

Oh, no, I wasn't thinking of playing a hedge companion, I was just saying I didn't realize Regulus would be interested in a hedge story.

I don't have any companion idea, I always have trouble coming up with those.

Oh, I see. I misunderstood you. Or maybe I expressed myself poorly in the first place.

Would you rather begin something or do I go ahead with the rumours about giants?

If you wanted to go ahead with the giant story, that would be great. I wouldn't mind waiting for other players, but this site seems a lot quieter than it used to be, as far as recruiting goes.

It may be a bit strange, playing your magus meeting your own companion, but I guess I don't mind if you don't.

Hello

as stated I would love to play a Merinita, and would love to get caught up to speed on what Magi are present, and what stories have been had.

Regulus, Wolfgang and Clusius are the remaining active magi. We've really just had one story, though there is a lot of narrative in the way we're doing advancement.

So we have a Muto Specialist, a Perdo (Vim and Ignem) specialist, and an Intellego Specialist.

If I understand correctly, the valley is surrounded by mountains, not too far from modern day Basel.

Perdo/Creo, but yes.

There is a map somewhere...

Hi, I’m pretty flexible for character if anyone feels there’s an important gap to be filled. Otherwise, I can play a Bonisagus Rego specialist or an apprentice.

Choose a concept that you'll have fun playing, and which will fit into the tone of the saga.

Check out 1205 Spring - The First Wave (Story) topic. It introduces the saga fairly well.

If the above note about Creo/Perdo refers to Mariana, now that I'm back and fixing her up to actually join the game I'm really just focusing on Perdo. Going true Apromar. I'm thinking the latest apprentice of Philippus Niger if deleting the guy of the same age who is supposed to be that recently gauntleted magus in GotF isn't an issue.

It refers to Wolfgang of Flambeau.

Would Teleportation count as Minor or Major Magical Focus?

Oh, whoops. Thanks. He's already Philippus's filius, too. Must avoid that. Hmm... looks like he has a lot of overlap with the abandoned Mariana, and even more so with my planned simplification.
