Table talk: OOC

Well, good news, I've got a new job, and, until now, everything's going fine
Bad news, I've got a LOT of work  And it hasn't even really begun

I am having the opposite problem at work , Not enougth to do I keep running out of things to do. Although in the pipeline is enougth to keep me busy 5 or 6 times over , none of it seems to have arrived yet.

I'm working on two adventures right now. The one that is most worked out I would like to have the magi be a bit more advanced. Say 2-3 years. Not sure if this matches what others are looking at.

The other is looking like more of a setting than an adventure. Completing it could take quite some time. But there is no time pressure on the adventure. I've just started working on this one but it could be run with the current power of the magi.

Adventure 1 takes place in the " real world" where as Adventure two will take place in the regio that is linked to the Covenant.

thoughts?

I am interested

Same thing here, so long as things go slowly enough for me to keep up :frowning:

My town took 2 full jobs and a half, and gave them to me  (And I am on the 2 lowest salary grids) And still, I have 1/7 of a job that I do without pay (Yeah, I am stupid, but this at last, I've chosen to do) on top of that

I should have said which one would work out the best for now. It allows me to put effort into finishing that one rather than guessing. So advance 2-3 years or the other can run when Wirth and Clara would return.

My story in chapter 7 is about to finish. Shall we take three years of study until next episode? I just begin with a council meeting and from there jebrick can take it. How is the other story in chapter 7 going? Is it about to be concluded?

It is proceding a bit slowly and is nowhere near reaching a conclusion I am afraid

No problem. Gives me more time to finish my story.

Max, what was the name of the commander? I had him as Bernard.

I did not give him a name at first but then it seems he got two... I just continued with the name that Marko gave him. But Bernard would be more fitting than Maxamillian. So let's say we go with Bernard from now on.

Shall I fill out my story with more events or should we proceed? Keep the visitor story in the past but still continuing.

Everyone I am going away from my home for quite a while. It is Easter break and thus we teachers are given the opportunity to go somewhere beyond the school. Thus I am going home to visit parents and old friends for quite some time. I will return to my normal computer on April the 19th. Until then I will have a severely restricted internet access as my mother does not have modern necessities. I hope that I will get a mobile broadband working but if the machine god fails me I will have trouble writing anything on this board. So until later have a nice time.

As the Homecoming thread is soon concluded everyone should think about what their magus does for the next three years. There is 10 paws of vis each year for the magi to divide amongst themselves. The magi are Aelianus, Roberto, Iolar, David, Wirth and Havlard. So five vis for each one. There are also two years of vis that are undivided. So everyone gets three vis from there. Total amount of vis each are 8. Now who gets what vis, the first to write what his or her magus/maga does gets to choose vis. The rest choose from what is left. The vis that remain unchosen are taken into David’s care.

Iolar is considering Murdering Roberto as a project for the next few years, also of course she has her own supply of Ignem vis

:open_mouth:
I hope you are joking!
Realize that Roberto is not aware of your true heritage. He thinks of you as a Bjornaer, and thinks Pomerainian witches and such are your natural enemy

What vis is available? Roberto would want Creo, Ignem, Rego, and Vim (depending on how much of which is available, listed in order of preference)

Vis sources

Seisin vis (25 in total, 4 Animal, 8 Vim, 4 Ignem, 2 Creo, 3 Herbam, 2 Perdo)

Note that 10 pawns are given to Florum and vim vis used for Aegis.

I grab 2 Creo, 3 Ignem and 3 Vim.
If that is cool with everyone else...

I do not think anyone gets any of the vis.

So 5 pawns of Vim given to Florum. We need 8 for the Aegis and must sell 10 for the silver needed to run the place.

So lets say that we sell 4 Animal 4 Ignem and 2 Herbam for the silver. So we are still 5 Vim short. So we exchange 2 Creo and 2 Perdo with the redhats For 4 Vim and must extract 1 Vim from the aura. That leaves us with 1 herbam ( or Animal or Ignem).

I am cautious about tapping the aura for vis too much. Just in case the rules for lowering the aura are used.:open_mouth:

So quite important to get any awards from the Tournament.

A delay is fine with me. I'm working on my villains.

The vis income in per year. Seven vis per year goes to the Aegis the remains are 18 in total, 4 Animal, 1 Vim, 4 Ignem, 2 Creo, 3 Herbam, 2 Perdo. These amount of vis have been harvested twice so when I end chapter 7 there is 8 Animal, 2 Vim, 8 Ignem, 4 Creo, 6 Herbam, 1 Perdo - 20 pawns gifted to Florum. That should give 27 vis - 20, 7 left. You are right Jebrick Novus Mane is dirt poor...

So every year each magus get ½ vis.

Tournament prize:
If Novus Mane won the siege of Alms then we would have received 6+6 pawns, translated into pawns of vis they are 60 form vis. Nouvs Mane gets to keep 30. If we could go with the last place then each magus gets 5 pawns of form vis of his or her choosing. That is in addition to the grand amount offered to the magi from the vis sources.

The real problem, that needs to be reworked, is that Florum does not ask for just 5 pawns of vis per year they ask for 5 pawns of Vim per year. To get the Vim we must make exchanges with the redcaps at 1t for 1f so we lose the Technique vis in exchange. But we do have a Vim left over from the Aegis so we do not HAVE TO tap the aura for vis. Now if Florum would just accept 5 pawns of vis per year we will be getting somewhere.

If our prize was 6+6 then we could get an additional 6 pawns per year for 7 years

What, no vis? Hey, I do my season of duty every year! If I get no vis, then why do I owe service?

quite the quandary isn't it. This is why the Fishing fleet needs to get going and make income.

If NM can product 100 silver in other income then we do not have to sell 10 pawns per year. If the new Tribunal takes off then we will not be under a feudal system. Again, more help.

We need to generate income or vis. to get the Covenant moving again.

If Benard will make a toll on the Ford to cover his expenses then we will be neutral for that aspect.

since I'm running the next adventure I will make a decision on the tournament awards. IIRC, Max had us at 21 which is a award of 3 rather than 23 which is an award of 6+6 ( the +6 is distributed to other weak covenants).
