Thats actually one of the noob mistakes in fighting against a dualwielder. Because if you lock one of his weapons, normally you do it with your own weapon, leading to the not so nice situation where he has a weapon free to attack with and you dont have a weapon defend with against that attack.
But its probably a good idea to enforce in THIS particular case, to make sure that two-weapon style has both the good AND the bad included.
