yearly planning chart

Right, if you have particular ability minimums you want to hit, just let me know and he'll do that with his free time. Neleos needing to re-learn all his Perdo spells with durations is going to be fun. The real thing I'm worried Andros is going to overcompensate for is Neleos's cruddy physical characteristics.

Question for silveroak:
Mercurio ended up going on a lot of adventures, but they always end up coinciding with his scheduled work seasons. This last year (1129) he lost about 60 days out of 90 in the summer season - does that still count as doing 'work'? Should I give his exposure xp for that season to something he did on the adventures? Should I change what season he ends up spending on work? He's also losing out on a lot of adventure xp since work-seasons he can't spend the season contemplating his adventures for the xp.
How do you want me to go about handling this? I'm only bringing it up because I did the math and realized that Mercurio spent 60 days in summer on adventures, when he was supposed to be doing scribal work.

Second question: Mercurio in 1130 requested getting someone to teach him teaching (since he has good teacher, it seems a waste to not have him learn to teach). None of the instructors in those seasons were teaching Teaching; I assume it's no problem for me to change which classes he's attending that year?

If you miss more than 20 days you cannot perform a laboratory activity that season.

you can assign up to 1/2 the points from a teaching SQ to learning teaching.

Mercurio's official job for the covenant is as a scribe. Should I replace a 'free' seasons with a 'work' season if he's dragged into an adventure for too much of the season? Rearrange them to make him still able to work, and give him the 'lost' season as an adventuring season? how do you want to handle lost 'work' seasons for companions/grogs/etc?
Should I stop having Mercurio go on adventures when he's supposed to be 'working' that season?

If you are doing scribal work each 30 days would be a loss of 1/3 of the season's work, but still count that as your season of work (you are still in service to the covenant). A professional scribe should be keeping track of what he is scribing...

another point here- you might notice that where Mercurio requested a class in teaching, Gaston is in fact teaching a class in teaching, which has a SQ of 20 with only 2 students including Mercurio...

My search function had failed me...

since part of the point of the planning chart is to manage library resources, "plan:read book" is not a useful entry- what book is necessary information.

Yep! Sorry. I have been putting up 'plan:' for any seasons I'm not sure what I wanted to actually do yet. I've filled out the coming year in full as I can.

I made a new column for Anvy instructor in Crafts, Bargain and Finesse.

blacksmiths work winter and spring, when they are less likely to be overcome by the heat of their forge. Training in the summer is pure insanity, and they won't do it unless ordered to by a magus. Certainly not for the benefit of some thing that got dragged back to the covenant and started walking around...
Yocasta trains with Stedman in the spring, so Alexander is available in the spring or winter for training
also keep in mind that while certain secondary topics can be learned (artes liberales with latin, for example), only one subject per season can be taught. Additionally Marcus is largely regulating the teaching of Latin to other instructors so he can teach more interesting courses. Certainly he would teach whatever a magus instructed him to for their benefit or their apprentices, but Anvy won't have that kind of pull...

Also Patrice does not know Magic Theory and could not teach it to Neelos- I think you may have your columns misaligned...

Sorry about that, did you fix this? I only found what I had intended, Neleos Summer MT with Markus, Fall Latin/AL with Mentor. Andros gave Neleos Winter free, to do as he would.

Anvy doesn't have this kind of problems with the forge's heat, even in summer  , he has no intention of forcing the poor smiths anyway (and certainly he would not have the authority to do it). Will train with Alexander in spring.

He will have a class in Latin (diverting some XP to Artes Liberales) with Prosperina in summer then.

I note Mercurio does not have planning done for 1132.

Eep, I'm terrible.
I've added his reading list, doing studies to better help Gloriana in the lab. If there are particular seasons that you want him over others, let it be known, otherwise, he'd be spending the time helping in any other ways Gloriana needs him.

Danaë has accumulated 82 magic item levels to get from the Mercere, she will cash 70 of these points for very much standard Redcap items:

silveroak, is this something she can obtain immediately? If not, for when?

These look fine
I note that in the fall and winter of 1132 there are two different classes scheduled for the teaching lab. Since there is only one teaching lab this does not work...

Neleos can get full teaching quality in fall without the lab, since he actually matched his teacher's skill at the end.

raccoonmask, Andros's 1132 MT class should have netted you 35 points, not 33: Teaching skill (9)+(2) Puissant+ (1) specialty 1 on 1 + (9) Teaching one person + (5) Good Teacher + (2) Com + (2) Palatial Lab + (5) Apt student = 35

Hmm, you are correct. I just missed the Puissant. Sneaky, sneaky virtue! I'll update my sheet, though unfortunately I think that's actually a net loss because the last person to teach me in the year maxed out.
