I have a very hard time finding what teachers are available every season, is there a regular schedule of class sessions for when non-mages need training?
Mercurio, during his free time, is going to 'practice scribing' by writing an incredibly trite book called 'My Adventures with Andros'(in bad latin). My current plans with Mercurio involve him writing an adventure book every time he goes on an adventure, because the faerie-blooded child finds adventures to be amazing. I'm hoping at some point to have him write Area/Organization/Realm Lore tractati as stories of his adventures. Possibly he can go on a mystagogic faerie quest at some point to pick up Free Expression. silveroak, at what age would it be reasonable for him to start writing useful tractati from his adventures? Technically, he has the language skills to write books in Italian, but it seems silly to have an [strike]eight[/strike]nine year old write books.
Covenant rules are that you cannot write tractate until age 30 unless you are a magus, to save on the costs of writing materials. Practice materials which can be reused (such as wax tablets) can be used at any age.
There isn't a regular schedule for classes, since general classes are basically taught when a magus has not asked for instruction for themselves or an apprentice. There are however 3 academic teachers, 1 social teacher, and 2 martial teachers. I will highlight their names in red for martial, blue for academic and green for social to make it easier.
Thank you for that! To try and make things even easier, I'll try to keep Mercurio's desired classes written down a few years in advance, with the understanding that an actual magus or apprentice can just boot him to the back of the line.
Regarding Mercurio's scribal tendencies, would it be possible for him (as he advances to not being a child, to siphon some of his salary (or whatever) towards his story-writing hobbies until he attains the age of requirement? Because I really do like the idea of him just starting to write grand tales to tell the world how amazing the adventures he goes on are. That sounds... fun.
silveroak, Re-reading the covenants book, I noticed my plan for autumn (installing a studio, free virtue) doesn't technically take seasons in the lab. Should I assume Oliverius is spending all that time making arrangements to have a studio built up a bit and expanded in front of his lab to draw in potential customers? Should I slightly re-assign seasons and have him spend 2 seasons turning the lesser feature into a greater? And I hope the covenant doesn't have any complaints about the Verditius installing a display studio set up by his lab and sanctum?

studio is free because it is outside the lab proper, and therefore does not require spending seasons in the lab. However it will require time from the masons and carpenters to build- effectively adding a pound to maintenance costs for one year.
Yes... But does Oliverius have to oversee its construction? I mistakenly assigned a season to installing it even though it's not listed as taking significant time. If given the option I'd change that to an extra season of refining, so that he could upgrade his minor feature (forge) to major. Otherwise, Oliverius is going to spend most of the season overeeing construction of the building.
He would need to be largely at the covenant, but it would require no more oversight than say an expansion to his quarters, and he could certainly engage in other lab activity or lab modification at the same time.
Leo: Oliverius's instructions for Arduino, he should increase his Latin to 4 as soon as possible to study books. He should focus his first few years on learning Magic Theory, and Arduino will try to get single student or paired student classes for him when available, and will schedule his season of teaching Oliverius to not clash with current classes. Oliverius is planning minimal lab-help from his apprentice until he's 12 or 14, when the stat penalties from age go away. Until then, it's better long-term for Oliverius to focus on powering up Arduino's Magic Theory for lab work. Right now, Oliverius is paying a lot of attention to getting his Lab set up how he wants it, so he's not focusing too much on Arduino's activities, so he'll have about a season a year to pursue his own educational studies/adventures/goof off.
Hi leo, she will be agreeable to this if Oliverius promises to forge a nice, magical and appropriate suit of armour for her son, Sandor, within 8 years ( to give him in Winter of 1130, when he turns 18). Could be something as simple as an Item of Quality, or a Lesser Enchanted item, though Verditius tend to go hog wild! Obviously she thinks Verditius are magic crafters extraordinaire! She would provide the vis (cashing in what Andros owes her). She would also agree in the bargain to aid Oliverius in other craft projects 4 other seasons in those 8 years, prioritizing his needs over the other Magi, since she often only helps in the lab once a year, generally. Is this something Oliverius finds acceptable (she is a good and canny bargainer, Bargain 4, Com 1, Int 3)

Aurthor is not a Verditius but with the assistance of Lady A and his new familiar could produce a lesser enchantment of decent power for Sandor the following years.
What do you think of an amulet that gives a +9 defense bonus (SHRIEK OF THE IMPENDING SHAFTS with a Terram requisite)? This amulet plus an armor crafted by a Verditius (Oliverius seems to accept commissions) and Lady A's precious son should be safe.
But I don't know how much and which type of Vis Lady A can provide, so feel free to make other suggestions.

If Lady A wants to commission the new Verditius for any work, she's welcome to speak with Oliverius. He is, however, a Blacksmith, not an Armorsmith. The Lady is noble enough to know the difference, still Oliverius could definitely whip up some sort of amazing thing.

InTe spells are not affected by the material of the object being detected. That only applies to spells that affect the object, as opposed to detecting it.
