Sorry for the late response.

So then I presume the fellas are coming with us as we explore one of these two hallways. I ask Marie to choose which one, left or right.
Marie shrugs and grins:
[color=red]Most people would take the right passage first, hoping that it is right and the left passage then - realising it is left. I don't know but I see no reason why the left passage shouldn't be right!
[color=red]Que? No comprende.
(What? I don't understand)
Marie is playing word games.

Carmen is much smarter than Mark is, so it is I the player that got confused. Interesting note, the same play on words also works in Spanish. Derecho* means Right as in Direction, or as in Correct.
*don't trust my Spanish spelling!
OK, anyway, are you taking the left passage?
Scott
let Marie lead the way
And left Marie went, following the glowing stone...
After trying to mark the way (2 min break+ReTe spont)
The stone's glow will have expired by then. I only set it with a duration of Diameter. I can recast it, slightly dimmer but with a longer duration. She will also need to rest though. For a Flambeau maga, she is really kind of weak on the Ignem
Before long, the passage branches left and right, as well as continuing forward. What now?
Scott
Decimus is taking the left passage together with Dimir Taar I suppose. Lamp without flame guide his way.
We are all going left. Stick together
[color=red]Agreed. Divide and conquer is a well-know strategy. We should be smarter than this.
Yeah, we stick together and keep going left-left-left until something happens
OOC: This is were narrating time and narrated time diverge - and the action jumps the reader, who - needless to say - is blissfully unaware...
Indeed. We keep going left-left-left, and fast forward to the point where something happens
Whoops, sorry for my silence....Apparently I missed a reply notification somewhere.
OK, you continue to wander in this maze for some time...several diamaters at least...marking your path all the way. Eventually, the passage opens up into stark blackness--you can't see anything but dark ahead, above, or to either side.
Scott
I find a rock or something and toss it in, to hear if it clatters on ground or if it is silent (and we stand before a pit, yikes!). Then I ask Marie to send our new longer lasting glowing rock into the chamber, move it up-down-and around, to see if we can gague the dimensions of it. Finally, I shout "Hola? Anyone in here? We come in peace!"
